Since Winter 2009, Phi Kappa Psi NY Theta has been organizing their annual Winter Banquet to support a charity in need. The Winter Banquet is an exclusive and elegant charity dinner. Brothers and advisors personally invited professors they appreciate, along with other valued faculty, administration, and prominent student leaders at RIT. The goal is to enjoy an elegant Saturday night with members of the RIT community while supporting a great cause.

This years beneficiary was the an RIT sponsored Habitat for Humanity home in downtown Rochester, the RIT Sustainable House. We had 85 attendees, which consisted of RIT faculty, administrators, students, brothers and alumni.

The second part of our winter philanthropic program was a fundraiser. We purchased and sold over a thousand "Be Green" wristbands and hundreds of T-Shirts at every major event on campus. We even held a large Tie Dye fundraiser during Freeze Fest. All these fundraisers helped further the sustainability initiative and gave everyone at RIT the opportunity to improve the Rochester community.
